Caffeinated Verse | Open Mic & Poetry Reading ft. Michael Mark

  • Malibu Library 23519 West, Civic Center Way MALIBU United States (map)

Special Poetry Reading Featuring Michael Mark!

For this event, we are honored to announce our featured reader, Michael Mark.

Michael Mark is a San Diego-based writer who earned his BA and MA in creative writing from SUNY Binghamton and is also the author of two books of stories, Toba and Toba at the Hands of a Thief.

Caffeinated Verse Details:

Join local poets for a FREE morning open mic and poetry reading—with caffeine!

Each session will be hosted by Malibu Poet Laureate, Nathan Hassall, and will feature a special guest reading and an opportunity for live Q&A. Following the featured reader, we will end the event with a poetry open mic.

If you’re published, aspiring, or otherwise, please bring a poem to share or come to enjoy the local poetry. Garner encouragement from peers and derive energy from performing before an audience! The "Caffeinated Verse" open mic series will continue through the fall on the third Saturday of every month.

OPEN MIC GUIDELINES:

  • If you'd like to read at the open mic, please bring one poem so there's enough time for all sign-ups to participate. Thank you!

Sponsored by the Friends of the Malibu Library. For Adults. No RSVP required.
