Poetry with Dr. Ann Buxie

Recently, I had the pleasure of featuring my dear friend, Dr. Ann Buxie, for a special poetry reading at our Caffeinated Verse event.

Ann is not only a wonderful poet, and the 4th Poet Laureate of Malibu, California, but has also recently become a dear friend of mine. She has inspired the local community for over 25 years, leading programs such as Poetry by the Sea, Tales by the Sea, and Verse About Town. Ann also holds a PhD in Theology, focusing on Hinduism and Buddhism.

Ann continues to have an immense impact on the poetry community and my own work, and I’m very honored to have her support and to feature her in this event.

In this video, I share some opening remarks as well as my own poem, titled “Love is a Word the Mouth Can Taste” before introducing Ann as our featured poet.
